Analysis for Tracing, Origin, Metabolism by Isotope and Couplings (ATOMIC)
“A team open to your analytical challenges”
Our team develops innovative analytical and instrumental approaches dedicated to quantitative and isotopic analysis (H, C, N, O) as well as the characterization of organic compounds. We have a unique instrumental platform in France, combining rare expertise in isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) and cutting-edge high-resolution technologies such as Iso-Orbitrap.
Our multidisciplinary research ranges from medicine to the environment, including the authentication of natural products. By designing advanced couplings and analytical tools, we respond to current challenges related to the origin and dynamics of molecules in biological, environmental, and industrial systems.

Using cutting-edge isotopic analysis (IRMS, Iso-Orbitrap), this work identifies unique metabolic signatures for the diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring of cancers and diseases.
Last project :
With 30 years of expertise, our laboratory identifies markers of authenticity to guarantee the traceability and natural origin of products.
Last project :
We develop innovative couplings (EA-Laser, LC-IsoOrbitrap) for high-precision multi-element and position-specific isotopic analysis of compounds within complex matrices.
We use isotopic signatures to trace the Earth’s climatic and geological evolution while assessing human impact on ecosystem preservation.
